Classroom Counseling Lessons
Every week, the school counselor teaches in all classrooms from kindergarten to 8th grade. During the 30-to-50-minute lessons, the students cover various topics such as honesty, respect, responsibility, social skills, friendship skills, bullying prevention, study skills, and career awareness. Each lesson is designed to be engaging and foster a positive classroom community.
The lessons address important preventative and developmental topics to enhance positive character. The topics covered may include bullying, emotional management, kindness, social skills, problem-solving, teamwork, gratitude, and friendship. All lessons meet both state and national counseling standards.
A monthly parent newsletter is uploaded to the website under the "Parent Newsletter" tab. This newsletter is a valuable resource that keeps parents informed about the topics for the month and what will be discussed in the classroom. If you have any questions, please message me on Dojo or email me directly at [email protected].
