Individual Counseling

Occasionally, students will meet with the school counselor to discuss specific concerns, challenges, and even exciting news. Many of the topics I discuss with students include academic success or challenges, stress, study skills, family changes, bullying or friendship issues, and even fun weekend plans. It is my goal to support all students!
Individual support is available at the teacher's, principal's, family's, or student's request. Referrals can be made over the phone or using a referral form (provided below). Most individual counseling sessions last 6-10 weeks. Please talk with me if this timeframe needs to be extended.

Small Group Counseling

Small groups provide additional support and learning experiences for students needing extra support in certain areas, including organization, social skills, friendship skills, listening, self-regulation, or family changes. Students may be referred to these groups by their teachers, school staff, or family. Small group counseling sessions last, on average, 4-6 weeks. Resources will be provided if a student misses a week of group counseling. If you'd like your student referred for a specific small group, please use the button below. I am happy to create small groups for specific topics based on needs.
